These are our Aims

The Consorzio di Tutela DOC Prosecco aims to achieve three main goals:
  • to take care of the main interest of the Denomination of Controlled Origin;
  • to assure its compliance throught a continuous and organized monitoring activity;
  • to promote the origina Prosecco DOC thanks to specific actions towards consumers and professionals, in Italy and the whole world.
Three main areas to carry out, three main aims, wide and challenging, to give the Denomination the right value it deserves.
A WELL-ORGANIZED TEAM

Administrative Organization of the Consortium

In order to achieve important goals, an organized team of professional, passionate and expert people is needed.

For this reason, the organizational structure of our Consortium includes different areas, both technical and functional: General Manangement and Administrative department, Advertising and Promotion department, Economic and Legal department, TechnicalEnvironmental department.

The principles of our code of conduct

We decided to adopt a Code of Conduct to answer the stakeholder’s needs at our best. We want to be a reliable and an open partner, to assure quality and equality of treatment to all the players dealing with the Consorzio di Tutela DOC Prosecco.

The Consorzio di Tutela is an institution which was created to promote, protect and enhance the Denomination of Controlled Origin (DOC). Furthermore, according to certain conditions, Italian law gives the Consortium, in collaboration with other bodies, real power to manage and direct Prosecco DOC.
DOC stands for Denominazione di Origine Controllata (Denomination of Controlled Origin): a mark of international recognition based on compliance with the official product specification. Like DOCG – Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin – it is included in EU standards for Denominations of Protected Origin.
The land is alluvial in origin and has mainly clay-loam soil, rich in minerals and micronutrients.
The provinces of Treviso, Venice, Vicenza, Padua, Belluno, Gorizia, Pordenone, Trieste and Udine.
This label guarantees total compliance with the official product specification, with quality also certified through application of the Government Identification mark (band).
