Prosecco DOC arrives in Verona with the final figures for 2025 exports: +2.3% worldwide, with 667 million bottles produced (+1.1% on 2024), 82% of which are destined for international markets. The podium sees the United States in first place with growth of 23.3%, followed by a stable United Kingdom and a surprisingly rising France (+19.8%), in third place on the podium for the first time. TThere are also positive signs from Germany (+2.1%), a long-standing market for the appellation, and from Russia, which, with a 0.7% increase, has turned the tide to climb back up to fifth place. Double-digit growth has been recorded in emerging markets such as Ukraine (+32.2%), Romania (+25%) and Greece (+20.5%), reflecting a diversification strategy that is bearing fruit.
President Giancarlo Guidolin: “Looking ahead to 2026, the March figures (+6.4% compared to the same month last year) confirm a clear consolidation in bottling volumes. The slowdown recorded in the first two months of the year should be regarded as a technical effect resulting from the strategic stockpiling carried out by the US market in 2025 to mitigate the impact of tariffs. The strength of the Denomination is further confirmed by actual consumption figures, which remain consistently in line with the average of recent years. In a geopolitical context that calls for caution — with transport, energy and raw material costs already under severe strain — the Denomination — which has already demonstrated its resilience on several occasions — looks to the coming months with an awareness of the uncertainties but also with a positive outlook towards the future.”

Sustainability, Research and Responsible Consumption
Sustainability remains the cornerstone of the DOC. Stand B4 will host presentations by experts and university researchers to showcase projects carried out in collaboration with the Consortium, with a particular focus on Assisted Evolution Techniques (AET) applied to varietal selection. There will also be a focus on research with “Natural Low Alcohol – The Prosecco DOC Experience” and the talk “A Culture of Sustainable Wine: Conscious Consumption”. In line with this, the Consortium continues its commitment as National Coordinator of the Wine in Moderation project to promote a culture of responsible drinking. The guest of honour will be the Cerletti School of Oenology in Conegliano, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary.
Cin Cin Verona: The Prosecco DOC Off-Site Event
“Cin Cin Verona” is a publishing project by the Consortium in collaboration with Tuorlo: a guide featuring 16 venues across the city, selected for the quality of their mixology, where visitors can sample limited-edition cocktails made with Prosecco DOC wines. Every day at the fair, one of the guide’s featured bartenders will present their signature cocktail, bringing the excellence of quality mixology directly to the Prosecco DOC Theatre.

There will be numerous themed guided tastings throughout the four-day event. Among these, it is worth mentioning the one dedicated to promoting the appellation through the geographical indications Prosecco DOC Treviso and Prosecco DOC Trieste.
