April 15th, 2026
Starting in 2026, Prosecco DOC will make its debut in the world of tennis as the Official Sparkling Wine of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, thanks to a three-year agreement that will run until 2028.
The historic competition, scheduled to take place at the Foro Italico in Rome from April 28th to May 17th 2026, is the most important tennis event in Italy, for both men and women. The 2026 edition marks a significant evolution for the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, with a refurbished Foro Italico increasingly focused on offering a world-class experience to an international audience. The new spaces, redesigned to be more welcoming and immersive, enhance the tournament’s appeal, making it an ideal setting for fostering a sense of community.
Among the expected participants are world number one Jannik Sinner, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, the defending champion, and champions of the calibre of Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev. In the women’s draw, world number one Aryna Sabalenka stands out, alongside Coco Gauff and Elena Rybakina, whilst Italy will be represented, among others, by Jasmine Paolini, the defending champion.
For the Prosecco DOC Consortium, this is a significant step, reinforcing an already well-established presence in the world of sport. In recent years, Prosecco DOC has supported numerous disciplines, sharing values such as commitment, determination and team spirit.

“Tennis embodies values with which the Prosecco DOC Consortium deeply identifies: elegance, precision, determination and a competitive spirit that makes for great entertainment. Our commitment to sport recently reached a historic milestone with our involvement in the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, the world’s largest sporting event. Today marks a new step: a three-year agreement that will see us become the Official Sparkling Wine of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome – our first-ever entry into the world of international tennis. For years we have supported sport in its various forms because top-level disciplines embody the same values that drive our appellation: courage, a spirit of sacrifice and perseverance. The Foro Italico is an extraordinary stage, frequented by the world’s best players and a passionate audience from every continent. Bringing Prosecco DOC there means celebrating Italian excellence: that of our wine and territory, and that of a country that knows how to combine beauty, talent and tradition.” – Giancarlo Guidolin, President of the Prosecco DOC Consortium.
The choice of the Italian Open is no coincidence: the Foro Italico is one of the most iconic sporting venues, attracting the world’s best players and an international audience every year. The partnership forms part of a broader strategy in which the Consortium is committed to supporting events and sports that embody authenticity and social value, strengthening the link between sport and Italian excellence.
With this debut on the world tennis stage, Prosecco DOC is preparing to toast a new season of international visibility, in the spirit of elegance and conviviality, at the heart of an event that combines history, innovation and sporting passion.

Prosecco DOC arrives in Verona with the final figures for 2025 exports: +2.3% worldwide, with 667 million bottles produced (+1.1% on 2024), 82% of which are destined for international markets. The podium sees the United States in first place with growth of 23.3%, followed by a stable United Kingdom and a surprisingly rising France (+19.8%), in third place on the podium for the first time. TThere are also positive signs from Germany (+2.1%), a long-standing market for the appellation, and from Russia, which, with a 0.7% increase, has turned the tide to climb back up to fifth place. Double-digit growth has been recorded in emerging markets such as Ukraine (+32.2%), Romania (+25%) and Greece (+20.5%), reflecting a diversification strategy that is bearing fruit.
President Giancarlo Guidolin: “Looking ahead to 2026, the March figures (+6.4% compared to the same month last year) confirm a clear consolidation in bottling volumes. The slowdown recorded in the first two months of the year should be regarded as a technical effect resulting from the strategic stockpiling carried out by the US market in 2025 to mitigate the impact of tariffs. The strength of the Denomination is further confirmed by actual consumption figures, which remain consistently in line with the average of recent years. In a geopolitical context that calls for caution — with transport, energy and raw material costs already under severe strain — the Denomination — which has already demonstrated its resilience on several occasions — looks to the coming months with an awareness of the uncertainties but also with a positive outlook towards the future.”

Sustainability, Research and Responsible Consumption
Sustainability remains the cornerstone of the DOC. Stand B4 will host presentations by experts and university researchers to showcase projects carried out in collaboration with the Consortium, with a particular focus on Assisted Evolution Techniques (AET) applied to varietal selection. There will also be a focus on research with “Natural Low Alcohol – The Prosecco DOC Experience” and the talk “A Culture of Sustainable Wine: Conscious Consumption”. In line with this, the Consortium continues its commitment as National Coordinator of the Wine in Moderation project to promote a culture of responsible drinking. The guest of honour will be the Cerletti School of Oenology in Conegliano, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary.
Cin Cin Verona: The Prosecco DOC Off-Site Event
“Cin Cin Verona” is a publishing project by the Consortium in collaboration with Tuorlo: a guide featuring 16 venues across the city, selected for the quality of their mixology, where visitors can sample limited-edition cocktails made with Prosecco DOC wines. Every day at the fair, one of the guide’s featured bartenders will present their signature cocktail, bringing the excellence of quality mixology directly to the Prosecco DOC Theatre.

There will be numerous themed guided tastings throughout the four-day event. Among these, it is worth mentioning the one dedicated to promoting the appellation through the geographical indications Prosecco DOC Treviso and Prosecco DOC Trieste.
Excellence in Pairings
Throughout the event – in Hall 4 / Stand B4 – the Prosecco DOC Theatre will host cooking shows and masterclasses, free of charge and subject to availability, in collaboration with partners from the world of premium food and drink:

Prosecco DOC celebrates the triumph of Ambassador Renè De Silvestro, the Italian athlete and Team Italy flag bearer who won gold and silver at the Winter Paralympic Games, celebrating with the event’s official bubbles.
Treviso, March 20, 2026 – With the conclusion of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games, the Prosecco DOC Consortium, as Official Sparkling Wine Sponsor, celebrates the extraordinary success of the event and, in particular, the achievements of its Brand Ambassador, Renè De Silvestro.

The skier from the Veneto region confirmed his exceptional talent on his home snow. De Silvestro reached the pinnacle of sporting achievement by winning the gold medal in the sitting Giant Slalom on the Olimpia delle Tofane course in Cortina, following an outstanding performance marked by determination in both runs. He also earned a prestigious silver medal in the sitting Combined event, adding yet another remarkable result to an already legendary career.
“Seeing Renè on the top step of the podium at Milano Cortina 2026 is a source of immense emotion and pride for us,” said Giancarlo Guidolin, President of the Consorzio di Tutela Prosecco DOC. “Supporting Renè on this journey means standing beside an athlete who perfectly embodies the values of our territory: daily commitment, professionalism, and the ability to turn every obstacle into a new opportunity. Prosecco DOC is proud to have raised a toast to these achievements, which reflect the excellence of Italy around the world.”
“I am very happy and proud to have been able to win in my home territory, on the slope where I grew up, in front of my family, my friends, and the sponsors who supported me throughout my preparation for these fantastic Paralympic Games. I am equally proud to be an Ambassador of the Prosecco DOC Consortium, which represents the excellence of our territory throughout the world,” commented Renè De Silvestro.
The bond between Prosecco DOC and Paralympic sport is once again confirmed as a meaningful commitment that goes beyond a simple partnership, celebrating athletes who, like De Silvestro, stand as international examples of skill, consistency, and resilience.

BIOGRAPHY OF RENÈ DE SILVESTRO
Born in 1996 and based in San Vito di Cadore, Renè De Silvestro is one of the leading figures in international Paralympic alpine skiing. Despite a spinal cord injury sustained after a training accident in 2013, Renè never lost his love for sport. He returned to the slopes in 2015 thanks to mono-skiing and made his World Cup debut in 2016.
His updated record includes:
• 4 Paralympic medals: 1 gold and 1 silver at Milano Cortina 2026; 1 silver and 1 bronze at Beijing 2022.
• 58 World Cup podium finishes and 2 World Cup discipline titles (Giant Slalom and Super-G).
• 6 World Championship medals (2 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze).
A champion in both sport and life, Renè rebuilt his career starting from athletics — specifically the throwing events of FISPES — before returning to his greatest passion, skiing, and becoming a key figure for the entire Italian Paralympic movement.
Four days in Düsseldorf confirmed Prosecco DOC’s global strength, with interest coming from around the globe, including Eastern Europe, Japan, and Nigeria. Among the most noteworthy signals was the international press’s attention to low-alcohol experimentation – an area in which the Consortium is working to innovate the production regulations while preserving its connection to tradition.
Treviso, March 19, 2026. The Consorzio di Tutela Prosecco DOC concluded its participation in ProWein, the prestigious international trade fair for wines and spirits held at Messe Düsseldorf, on a positive note. Over the four days of the exhibition (March 15–18), the Consortium was present in Hall 3 (Stand 3L22), serving as a hub for international networking and for the promotion of the denomination.
A global network: from Europe to Nigeria
The turnout at the Consortium’s stand confirmed the strong global appeal of Prosecco DOC. Visitors came mainly from Eastern and Northern Europe, with particularly strong attendance from Poland, Ukraine, Turkey, Georgia, Moldova, Germany, and Norway. There was also very positive feedback from Greece and from the Asian market, led by Japan. Growing interest was also noted from new strategic areas, including Nigeria – a sign of a denomination that continues to open up new markets.

Research and innovation: the path toward “natural low alcohol”
A key presentation dedicated to innovation focused on the Consortium’s “natural low alcohol” trials to the German trade press and to several producers. The guided tastings involved leading publications such as Weinwirtschaft, Fizz, Falstaff, Wein+Markt, and Lebensmittelzeitung, and sparked interest among prominent figures in the international wine world, including Masters of Wine Romana Echensperger and Konstantin Baum, Brand Ambassador Anna Maria Loeffler, and representatives of the Hawesko Group.
President Giancarlo Guidolin’s comments
“ProWein gives us a picture of Prosecco DOC as a vibrant and well-established denomination, with long-standing markets remaining solid and new areas of interest beginning to emerge. It is an encouraging sign, but one that we interpret with the appropriate caution: the international landscape is complex, and the uncertainty surrounding trade policies — starting with the United States, our leading market — requires us to move carefully. On the low-alcohol front, we are seeing growing curiosity, and this does not surprise us: for several years we have been experimenting with new production protocols involving expert oenologists, with the aim of identifying, should it be approved by the Assembly, a new and recognizable style within Prosecco DOC that can also meet the needs of consumers who are attentive to alcohol and sugar content.”

The wineries in the spotlight
Alongside the co-exhibiting wineries Masottina, San Simone, and Salatin, the Consortium’s booth also featured tastings of a wide selection of labels from many member wineries, offering a broad overview of the denomination’s excellence: Antonio Facchin & Figli, Astoria Wines, Borga since 1940, Borgo Molino, Bosco del Merlo, Ca’ di Rajo, Cantine Maschio, Giusti Wine, Gruppo Martellozzo, Italian Wine Brands, La Gioiosa, La Jara, La Marca, La Tordera, Le Contesse, Mionetto, Serena Wines 1881, Tenuta Santomè, Terre dei Buth, Torresella, Val d’Oca, Valdo Spumanti, Villa Sandi, Vini La Delizia, and Viticoltori Ponte.

Treviso, March 4, 2026 – “The Paralympic Games express values that we have always believed in: the ability to pursue excellence with determination, to not give up in the face of difficulties, to do one’s best in all circumstances,” said Giancarlo Guidolin, president of the Prosecco DOC Protection Consortium. “Being the Official Sparkling Wine of Milan Cortina 2026 means showcasing a product that comes from a territory, a community, and generations of shared work on a global stage. It is not an award we receive: it is a commitment we renew.”
This partnership naturally extends from the Winter Olympic Games to the Winter Paralympic Games, confirming a commitment that goes beyond brand presence for the Consortium. The Paralympic Games represent one of the most authentic expressions of those values—inclusion, determination, and the ability to transform every difficulty into momentum—that Prosecco DOC has chosen to place at the center of its institutional communication. Supporting this event means recognizing Paralympic athletes not only as sporting champions, but also as examples of how excellence is built every day, often starting from conditions that others would consider insurmountable obstacles.
Today, the Paralympic Flame passed through the historic center of Treviso, the capital city of the nine provinces of the Prosecco DOC appellation and headquarters of the Protection Consortium. Vice President Alessandro Botter welcomed it in Piazza dei Signori for an official toast with the limited edition bottle created for the Games, together with Mayor Mario Conte, CIP Veneto President Davide Giorgi, CONI Veneto Regional Committee President Dino Ponchio, and Paolo Tonon, Paralympic archery athlete and bronze medalist at the 2024 Paris Games: a presence that gave a face and history to this passage, making the link between Paralympic sport and the territory a reality.

THE CONSORTIUM’S ACTIVITIES AT THE GAMES
Throughout the Paralympic Games (March 6-15), Prosecco DOC will be present at the official bar of Casa Italia at the Galleria Farsettiarte in Cortina d’Ampezzo (Piazza Roma 10, open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.), where a dedicated menu lists the references of the 16 companies of the Consortium, and in the hospitality areas set up at the competition venues. The Consortium’s communication activities continue: large billboards at the airports of Treviso, Venice, Orio al Serio, and Milan Malpensa welcome tourists and international delegations; the luminaries of Via Manzoni in the heart of Milan celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic values of perseverance, respect, and legacy; the venues featured in the “Cin Cin Milano Cortina” guide offer limited edition Prosecco DOC-based cocktails, extending the Games experience from competition to the discovery of Italian lifestyle.
The 16 companies that have joined the project: Brilla! Cà di Rajo, Cantine Maschio, Casa Vinicola Bosco Malera, Italian Wine Brands, La Marca, Le Rughe, Masottina, Mionetto, Pitars, Ponte 1948, Serena Wines 1881, Torresella, Villa Sandi, Val d’Oca, Valdo.

The Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics have begun and the story of the Games is taking shape even off the slopes, in the places where the city comes together to watch the competitions. This is where Prosecco DOC comes in as the Official Sparkling Wine Sponsor of Milan Cortina 2026, a choice that stems from common ground in terms of territorial identity, sustainability, and the ability to speak to an international audience. The designation involves nine provinces in Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia and represents one of the most popular Italian products in the world: a reality that, like the Games, thrives on global relationships but has its roots in a specific territory. The partnership reflects this meeting between local dimension and international vision, transforming the moment of the toast into a collective gesture that accompanies the sporting celebration and becomes part of the Olympic experience in the city.
The inauguration of the Prosecco DOC Sparkling Hub
A story that found its Milanese home in Piazza San Babila, where the lights of the Prosecco DOC Sparkling Hub were turned on. From the morning of February 7, the day after the opening of the Winter Olympics, the space welcomed an audience of enthusiasts and professionals, with talks and raised glasses. The gastronomic moment organized by the Associazione Maestro Martino, inaugurated by President Carlo Cracco, was an opportunity for conviviality, while the dialogue with athletes—including Marina Lubian, Karen Putzer, and Federico Andreoli—brought the energy and values of the newly started competitions to the space. Between the story of the Road to the Games project murals, the meetings, and the aperitif by The Spirit and Panino Giusto, the inauguration gave a concrete image of what the lounge promises for the Olympic weeks: a space where people can experience the competitions together, stop, meet, and celebrate each day of sport with the shared spirit of a toast.

The home of the Olympics in the city
Until February 28, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Sparkling Hub will remain open to the public as an immersive space where visitors can stop, meet, taste a glass of Prosecco DOC, receive special free gadgets, and follow the competitions live. Upon entering, the impression is that of crossing the threshold of an urban living room dedicated to sport and sharing. Here, you can taste different expressions of Prosecco DOC guided by expert sommeliers, discover the licensed label dedicated to the Games, and visit the exhibition of murals created in the run-up to Milan Cortina 2026. The lounge thus becomes a place where time expands between competitions, between toasts and conversations.
One of the common threads of the experience is the CinCin Milano Cortina guide, an editorial project that recounts the culture of aperitifs between Milan and Cortina, distributed throughout the space, where you can discover cocktails designed specifically to celebrate the Olympic spirit and Italianness. Like Respiro, Sfida, and Fiamma, three signature cocktails featuring Prosecco DOC bubbles in homage to the Italian flag.

Tastings, cocktails, and viewing parties
At the Sparkling Hub, Prosecco DOC takes center stage in many forms. Guided tastings allow you to explore the different expressions of the appellation, while cocktails created by The Spirit cocktail bar take bubbles to a more creative and informal dimension. The special bottle dedicated to the Olympics becomes a tangible symbol of this encounter between sport and lifestyle, an object that recounts the occasion and the historic moment.
During the day, the space comes alive with moments of socializing and spontaneous encounters, while in the evening the atmosphere changes pace and prepares for the most eagerly awaited events.
On February 12 and 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the Sparkling Hub hosts Watching Parties, a moment to share the excitement of the competitions in good company. The competitions thus become the center of a collective experience consisting of Olympic-themed cocktails and sandwiches by Panino Giusto, a historic Milanese eatery, reinterpreted in five variations inspired by the continents. Another opportunity to experience the Olympic spirit together, subject to availability.
A new and different way to experience the Olympics: together, in the heart of the city, with the euphoric spirit that accompanies every major event. A date to mark in your diary for those who want to breathe in the energy of the Games up close.

Road to the Games: Milan transformed into an urban gallery
The exhibition hosted at the Sparkling Hub brings together the works of the Road to the Games project, the artistic journey with which Prosecco DOC has accompanied Milan towards the Olympics in recent years. The Consortium has promoted a series of seven murals created by Italian artists to celebrate, through urban art, Milan with its traditions and its most important and world-renowned events in a real accompaniment to the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games: from the opening night at La Scala in Milan to Fashion Week, Art Week, the Milan Summer Festival, and Christmas celebrations. This project reflects the Consortium’s philosophy: to promote the excellence of the region through initiatives that express Italian spirit, innovation, and shared creativity.
The works celebrate figures and symbols of Italian culture—from music to fashion to gastronomic traditions—and construct a visual narrative that focuses on creativity, talent, and regional identity. Among these, Frode’s portrait of Giuseppe Verdi in Corso Garibaldi pays homage to Milan’s musical tradition on the occasion of La Scala’s opening night, also evoked during the inauguration ceremony, while SteReal’s mural in Piazza XXIV Maggio intertwines fashion and femininity with the image of an elegant figure accompanied by a glass of Prosecco DOC to celebrate Fashion Week. The most recent mural, by Federico Epis, in Via Ripamonti, a stone’s throw from the Olympic Village, depicts the encounter between city and mountains, between tradition and future.
All the interventions are part of a seven-stage program designed to accompany the city until the Games, transforming Milan into a widespread urban gallery. This program takes on a new form in the Sparling Hub in San Babila, where visitors can admire the works in the immersive setting of the lounge and take home a special souvenir thanks to the dedicated posters and postcards.
The project is emblematic of Prosecco DOC’s mission: to enhance the territory, promote Italian talent, and transform every opportunity to meet into a moment of sharing. The exhibition thus becomes the ideal conclusion to the experience, a passage that ideally unites the dimension of the competitions with that of culture and the city that hosts them.
Milan is preparing for the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games with an artistic journey that combines culture, tradition, and innovation. The Consorzio di Tutela del Prosecco DOC, Official Sparkling Wine Sponsor of the event, has chosen to celebrate the city through seven urban murals created by famous Italian artists.
The project, which began in December 2024, aims to promote Milan and its world-renowned events, bringing art to public spaces and creating a common thread between creativity and Italian identity. The works are designed to convey the ‘Italian Genius’, a concept dear to the Consortium and the region, made up of passion, ingenuity, and excellence.
1. Share the Magic of Opera – Frode
The first mural, created in Corso Garibaldi 41 by Frode, a historic Milanese urban artist, celebrates Giuseppe Verdi on the occasion of the 2024 La Scala premiere. The composer’s face emerges from colors and shapes that evoke the music and emotions of opera. The 30-square-meter work blends painting, music, and urban art to showcase Italian genius and innovation.

2. Share the Magic of Fashion – SteReal
The second mural, created by Milanese artist SteReal, was unveiled in Piazza XXIV Maggio during Milan Fashion Week 2025. The work, measuring approximately 150 square meters, celebrates femininity and Italian craftsmanship: an elegant figure wearing a hat and period dress accompanies a glass of Prosecco DOC, amid golden hues and references to the Italian flag. The mural combines fashion and art, conveying values of elegance and authenticity.

5. Share the Magic of Christmas – by Mate
The fifth mural, created by Mate in Viale Pasubio 6, pays homage to panettone, a symbol of Milanese Christmas tradition, paired with a glass of Prosecco DOC. The 200-square-meter work conveys intimacy and domestic warmth, emphasizing the values of sharing and conviviality. The artist’s realistic poetics render textures, lights, and transparencies in an emotional way, making the mural an icon of the holidays.

6. Share the Magic of Winter Olympics – by Federico Epis
Milan is finally the stage, along with Cortina d’Ampezzo, for the Winter Olympic Games. Prosecco DOC toasts this adventure with a mural in Via Ripamonti, near the Olympic Village, to bring good luck to the athletes. A toast with Prosecco DOC marks the moment when the tension of the competition gives way to celebrations and becomes an opportunity to pay tribute not only to the medals won, but also to the commitment, tenacity, and sportsmanship that characterize the journey of every athlete.

A journey towards the 2026 Olympics
These murals are part of a seven-stage project that will continue in 2026, with the aim of enriching Milan with other works dedicated to key symbols and events of the city. During the Games, the Consortium will welcome athletes and visitors to the Sparkling Hub at Spazio San Babila, where they will be able to admire a collective exhibition of the murals, taste a selection of Prosecco DOC wines, and receive special gadgets.
According to Giancarlo Guidolin, President of the Consortium, “the works celebrate Italian genius and the shared values of the designation: quality, identity, and shared joy.”
In this way, Milan is transformed into an open-air urban gallery, where tradition, fashion, music, and conviviality come together in anticipation of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
