Inspiration is the instant when beauty suddenly manifests and ignites our enthusiasm. To be inspired means to project our breath upwards, inspiratio onis; it means to transcend ourselves and yearn for the divine breath, to seize it and bring it down to earth.

In its project INSPIRED BY THE CLASSIC, MOVED BY THE FUTURE Prosecco wants to communicate that the classic is what draws inspiration from, but it is the future that guides its action.

Thus, Villa Contarini, a palace of the baroque Veneto, in Piazzola sul Brenta, becomes an ideal scenic labyrinth for director Carlo Guttadauro. Amidst settings and precious details and metaphysical lighting, the photography of Anam Cara, followed with dedication by the attentive eye of Thomas Guttadauro, aims to explore the aesthetic and graceful movement of the dance of Virna Toppi, first ballerina of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Her harmonious gestures, the movements of her body undertake a dance in the Hall of Mirrors. The classic that inspires is already there in the way she offers herself, sinuous and sensuous, with her curves and folds and that energy that emanates from Virna, like a harmonic variation of gait, like a weave that holds itself together, folded and refolded as it unfolds, giving us beauty in its operative status as grace in movement, as harmonic suspension and levity.

Behind her, in a door framed in stucco, Davide Garzetti, the traceur, brings another story, not classical, but one nourished by the classical: motionless, observes the dance. The traceur traces linear paths, which draw momentum and muscular tension from the body to perform games.

In the field that unfolds between classical dance and parkour, boundaries vanish and an unprecedented and mysterious space opens up for the relationship. The inebriation of the dream becomes the antechamber of inspiration. The combination of dance and parkour is unprecedented and therefore rich in nuance and novelty.
The journey between the dancer and the athlete touches Venice and the foundations of the Giudecca. Here, as if by magic, an aesthetic transformation takes place: the dancer, who at first glows with a diaphanous light, turns into a black swan.

This directorial operation is entrusted to costume designer Salvatore Vignola, who masterfully constructs a sculptural artefact of rare beauty: a black tutu covered in sequins causes light to refract on the dancer’s body, accompanying her movement. Cinzia Trifiletti is entrusted with the hair make-up, with its gritty, Gothic-inspired character.

On an iron bridge in Giudecca, the two meet in a sort of conciliation, a secret agreement. The boundaries vanish, the places they frequent are flashbacks, moments of memory, now there is the present and it is new: they can finally play with the classic and the contemporary, tracing in them the spark of modernity that is actuality, the place where past future are in tension.

The two finally have the luxury of toasting on a terrace overlooking the Canalgrande, and the location on which the toast scenes are filmed is the Sina Centurion Palace.

Prosecco DOC bubbles know the power of lucid inebriation that makes us dream, giving us moments of pure lightness.

Prosecco DOC is a modern momentum that knows how to find its reasons in the past and its experimentation in the future.

After all, without experimentation we would not know what beauty is.

Prosecco DOC, inspired by the classic, moved by the future

Motorcycles, sailing, volleyball, skiing, the marathon. Each sport has very specific characteristics that identify it and that Prosecco DOC has decided to marry and support with partnerships that have lasted for several years. One of the cornerstones of the Consorzio has always been the protection of the territory and the dissemination of the beauties present between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia and this is one of the points in common with sports competitions that every year bring a lot of tourists who, between one race and the other, take advantage of the free time to discover places and typicalities.

Consorzio Prosecco DOC has been the Official Supplier of MotoGP ™ since 2019 and confirms its support again this year. It does it in a light, engaging and carefree way just like the celebrations on the podium: during the MotoGP ™ calendar, ad hoc quizzes are created to guess the podium on Sunday, as it is done with friends, giving away the chance to discover the lands of Prosecco in suggestive weekends between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto crossing places, activities and good food. On the other hand, the dynamism and the ability to involve a young audience from numerous countries are the keys to this adrenaline-pumping and exciting competition that creates a real “motorbike tourism” towards unusual and characteristic places. The same spirit that has seen the birth of a more long-standing involvement, the one with Superbike, of which Prosecco DOC has been a partner for 9 years, bringing style and Italian way of life around the world.

Adrenaline, overtaking, emotions, speed and then the final roar, that of victory. Just like a cork that explodes just before the Prosecco DOC breaks out to celebrate the champion. Let’s keep the speed but let’s move on the snow to talk about Cortina and the ski world championships that took place in February. A great challenge that has become a symbol of hope, an image of the values of sport and an inheritance for the territory that have made Italy and the world of international skiing proud. Prosecco DOC was present with a special label, with the typical national “Azzurro”, for a unique occasion in winter sports. Always committed to the enhancement of the territory in which it operates, the Consorzio could not fail to support a sport such as skiing in a location like Cortina, the white pearl of the Dolomites, because fatigue, tenacity and the sharing of joy are part of both worlds. The common goal was also to represent the area and promote it through traditions, habits, people both on the track and in welcoming the tourists who came to the event. A great moment of harmony in view of the Winter Olympics, also in Cortina, which will take place in 2026.

Talking about sport, territory and excellence immediately leads to Conegliano and Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley, of which Prosecco DOC has been an institutional sponsor since 2014 and a naming sponsor for a few months. A very young reality, born in 2012, an energetic female team led by competent technicians who in recent years have given infinite reasons to celebrate to an always very warm audience. Just think of the very high average of visitors for home games and the results that, in nine years, have brought “the panthers” to four SuperCoppa Italia, three Coppa Italia and four league titles. Tenacity and values that it is impossible not to celebrate considering that today they are World, European and Italian Champions.

Talking about Prosecco lands also means talking about the sea, Trieste and the Barcolana that the consortium has been supporting for six years now and which had a special edition for the 50th anniversary of the regatta that brings thousands of visitors to Trieste every year. Prosecco DOC boats are a great pride: Ancilla Domini, Selene, Portopiccolo-Prosecco DOC and Portopiccolo, which have recorded great successes with excellent placings and victories. All this always in favor of the territory, of environmental sustainability and of the complicity that sports such as sailing bring with them and that the Consortium shares with great enthusiasm.

Finally, two great new entries between the partnerships of Prosecco DOC with the world of sport. The first news is full of great events that will take place in the beautiful setting of Friuli Venezia Giulia. It is called MYTHO MARATHON, it is in its first edition and for the next three years it will organize itinerant stages for the whole region. A road race on the traditional distance of 42.195 km with an innovative formula: 3 different marathons and a single goal, complete them all and enter the Mytho. The first race is on 31 October in Cividale del Friuli to continue in 2022 in Palmanova and end in 2023 in Aquileia. The goal, as always, is to enhance the territory of the Prosecco DOC Consortium, so precious and full of history. In fact, each marathon will develop through a specific path that will allow you to discover every corner of the city that hosts it and its wonders.

The second fresh partnership of Prosecco DOC is with Benetton Rugby of which the Consorzio is the new jersey main sponsor. The goal is, as always, to look in the same direction that is to represent the territory in the best possible way. “We are extremely satisfied – says Amerino Zatta, the president of Benetton Rugby – to be able to promote a brand of absolute prestige such as Prosecco DOC all over the world. An excellence of our territory with which we share, each in their own sector, values and objectives. I also thank Stefano Zanette, President of the Consorzio Prosecco DOC, for believing in us with the hope that this union will be the beginning of a long partnership “. The world of sport, on the other hand, is in perfect harmony with that of bubbles in promoting values such as teamwork and, at the same time, the right merit to be given to individual individuals.

The significant entity that protects the Prosecco Protected Denomination of Origin has become the Official Sparkling Wine Sponsor of the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026

Milan, July 25, 2023 – The organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 has just welcomed a new sponsor: the Prosecco DOC Consortium. The partnership was announced during a private event held at the foundation’s headquarters. The event was attended by President Giovanni Malagò and CEO Andrea Varnier.

With the signing of the contract, the Consortium has chosen to embrace the world’s largest sporting event, with the desire to strengthen the promotion of one of Italy’s most beloved and internationally consumed wine products. The partnership highlights the strong connection with the territory and the wineries represented by the Consortium, emphasizing their excellence and values.

The President of the Prosecco DOC Consortium, Stefano Zanette, stated: “It is a great pleasure for us to support the Organizing Committee of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in this fantastic and ambitious adventure. Prosecco has long been investing significant resources in support of the world of sports and culture. What better occasion, therefore, than these Games to share those values that, starting from sports, become a way of life and, ultimately, culture. Not to mention another theme that unites us with the Olympic Movement, namely, our attention to the environment. Both our Denomination and the organizing committee of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics intend to make it clear that the commitment to environmental, economic, and social issues is not a problem, but an opportunity.”

According to Giovanni Malagò, President of the Milan Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee: “With the signing of the contract with the Prosecco DOC Consortium, the team of partners supporting the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation in the Road to the Games is further expanded. A leading entity that actively contributes to showcasing the excellence of our country to the world. The Prosecco DOC Consortium is synonymous with guarantee and style, narrating a story of successes and great passions, and just like the Milan Cortina team, it combines class, elegance, and personality with a harmonious smoothness.”

Andrea Varnier, CEO of Milano Cortina 2026, commented: “The commitment of the Foundation is directed towards organizing the Games and enhancing our locations and Italy’s image in the world. The partnership agreement fits within a path that will enable the largest winter sporting event to bring immense long-term benefits to Italy. The involvement of excellent entities like the Consortium within the Olympic and Paralympic project strengthens the values upon which all our work is based.”

Luca Giavi, General Director of the Prosecco DOC Consortium, added: “Considering the international scope of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, and being Prosecco DOC the most consumed Italian wine denomination in the world, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to be the Official Sparkling Wine Sponsor of this grand event. We hope that this sponsorship will further highlight the connection between Prosecco and its production territory, the true reason behind the international success of our productions. Frequently, Prosecco’s fame leads many to believe that the term is synonymous with sparkling wine. It is not the case. Prosecco is a PDO that involves nine provinces between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, where the grapes are harvested and the Prosecco is vinified. Once bottled, it reaches 195 countries worldwide.”

FONDAZIONE MILANO CORTINA 2026

The objective of the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, in agreement with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP), the cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Veneto Region, the Lombardy Region, and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano, is to plan, organize, finance, and host the Milano Cortina Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2026. Established on December 9, 2019, the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is led by President Giovanni Malagò and CEO Andrea Varnier. The Olympic and Paralympic Games are the largest sporting event in the world, with an unprecedented media impact.

PROSECCO DOC

The Prosecco Denomination of Controlled Origin (DOC) was established in 2009 through the united effort of the production chain, which now includes over 12,000 wineries across nine Italian provinces between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. The purpose was to firmly link the wine to its original territory, making it unique. For this reason, Prosecco is a wine crafted following precise production regulations, guiding every step of the production chain, from defining the production area to labeling. The DOC requires verification of compliance with these rules, and through constant monitoring and traceability, the origin and quality of the product are certified, safeguarding consumers with the application of the relevant state seal on each bottle, which, only at that moment, can bear the Prosecco label.

With an annual production nearing 650 million bottles, of which 80% is exported, the Prosecco DOC ranks as the world’s leading sparkling wine denomination. The Prosecco DOC Consortium aims to promote and enhance Prosecco DOC, protecting consumers and the production system by ensuring the correct use of the denomination “Prosecco” in Italy and worldwide.

The cultural and artistic enhancement of Italian heritage is one of the main missions of the Consortium for the Protection of Prosecco DOC.

Starting from the territory to which it belongs and traversing the countless expressions of art, music, theater or food, the Consortium supports cultural initiatives throughout Italy.

From a deep vocation for beauty and excellence come the two latest short film projects, produced and promoted by the Consortium, where art and cinema collide to narrate the Italian Genius that permeates the territory, origins and production of Prosecco DOC.

Lightness that Inspires and Genius Moves the World the two films bring to the screen Italian stories told through the immense hidden beauty of the country and the art of Antonio Canova, both directed by Carlo Guttadauro.

Lightness that Inspires, presented at the 78th Venice Film Festival in 2021, brings fluidity and lightness to the screen giving the viewers the same feeling they can experience when tasting a glass of Prosecco.

The short film embraces a journey of love between two young people through an intoxicating and vibrant toast. From the sinuous profiles of Canova’s sculptures at the Gipsoteca in Possagno (Treviso), to the Miramare Castle in Trieste, the Grand Canal in Venice, the Prato della Valle in Padua, going up to the Belluno Dolomites the film creates a surreal dream of Italian landscape between lightness and seduction.

A glorious eulogy to the country’s excellence met in the perfection of Prosecco Doc

The beauty and harmony of Antonio Canova’s Italian art meets the mastery of the art of wine.

Prosecco Doc chooses to celebrate the bicentennial of Antonio Canova’s death with a tribute to his art, through the short film Genius Moves the World.
Presented at the 79th Venice Film Festival in 2021, the latest short film transports us to the second half of the eighteenth century by encountering and discovering the atmospheres where Canova moved, imagined, contemplated and shaped matter. In his grace is revealed the beauty of feelings found in tasting a glass of Italian Prosecco bubbles, enhancing the highest idea of beauty, a journey between illusion and creation, where the hand that carves the marble is the same that works the vineyard.

The narrative comes to life through the three protagonists: the young Antonio Canova played by Michele Piccolo, the statue of Hebe impersonated by Virna Toppi, first ballerina of La Scala Theater in Milan, and the cellarer of Prosecco DOC represented by Andrea Offredi.

It is art that moves the world, the art of a sculptor and his works, the art of Italian monuments and landscapes capturing the simplicity of beauty where harmony and love find their forms thanks to the hands of man and his genius.

The portrait of the Italian Genio is representing the essence of this concept, from which come thoughts and ideas that revolutionize the world, the same genius that inspires every day the important work of research, production and enhancement of the Prosecco DOC Consortium’s territory.

Thrilling sport weekend for the Prosecco DOC

Prosecco DOC has been closely involved in three successful sport victories: the Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Conegliano girls’ team, who won the Club World Championship, the victory of the Benetton Rugby in Bayonne, France (the first success outside the national borders) and the triumph of Roland Fischnaller in the Snowboard World Cup stage in Cortina, on Saturday evening. These achievements are extremely meaningful not only because the Consorzio di tutela Prosecco DOC supports these athletes as a sponsor and they contribute to honor Prosecco brand internationally, but also because, above all, they managed to create an authentic feeling of friendship, embracing the values that are true to their sport and the great emotions that the various disciplines are able to give.

“It was a real joy and a great emotion to attend the game of the Conegliano Panthers, such as Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Conegliano. They always manage to excite, amaze, and entertain us with their incredible performances. Last Sunday’s victory is just another proof of how, in recent years, the project carried out together with this team is a successful and enriching one – underlines Stefano Zanette, President of the Consorzio di Tutela Prosecco DOC – As for Benetton Rugby, the Treviso Lions, who we have been supporting for a couple of years, we are proud of their great success away from home that cheers us up and makes us feel part of it. Finally, I would like to remember the incredible victory at the World Championships of the 42-year-old athlete Roland Fischnaller. This triumph can teach us a lot about how perseverance, commitment, hard work and courage are virtues to be cultivated, always”.

Structure, balance, harmony and elegance. Intrinsic qualities of an object’s aesthetic value that outline the innovative and sophisticated advertising campaign of the Prosecco DOC Consortium. A match between the most famous Denomination in the world and three icons of Italian design.

The Consortium launched the “Soggetto Design” advertising campaign, in collaboration with ADI Design Museum, choosing symbolic objects from Italian furniture to tell a story of craftsmanship and beauty: the Cubo radio by Brionvega, the Atollo lamp by Oluce and the Fjord armchair by Moroso.

A plot of aesthetic symbols expressing the magnificent multiplicity of disciplines and techniques of the Italian art of living that surprises for its simple essence of beauty by recreating concrete solutions to spread this philosophy. Hence the campaign payoff: “The Italian sparkling art of living”.

This concept is graphically defined in the “Soggetto Design” campaign played on the ‘magazine cover’ concept that ideally recalls the cover of a magazine, in which the three iconic design pieces stand out as co-stars together with Prosecco DOC. The visual image traces the dialogue that takes place between the historical architecture of the museum buildings and the modern shapes and innovative materials of the three objects surrounded by a timeless space, suspended between past and present.

Stefano Zanette, president of the Consortium of Prosecco DOC, reports that “unlike previous campaigns where we wanted to focus attention on the territory, as in the ‘Dreamland’ project, or on the product, as in the ‘Drink Pink’ launch campaign, this time the main goal is to increase the perception of the denomination in the consumer’s imagination. For this reason we have placed Italian genius at the center of the communication, which, in this case, is witnessed by the selected subjects as a demonstration and ‘supporting evidence’ of the Made in Italy creative power.”

A time that defines the history, talent and typically Italian style of Italian Genio, the highest expression of the continuous aesthetic and qualitative research that the Prosecco DOC Consortium implements daily to tell the story of the uniqueness of this product and its wonderful territory distributed between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The combination of wine and art in Italy is increasingly expressing itself in interesting ways, with many languages that the Consortium has managed to grasp and make its own, giving artistic depth and uniting the art of making wine with art in the strictest sense, making it a whole to tell the Italian way of life, a source of inspiration throughout the world.

Simplicity and beauty, as paradigms of a new way of conceiving the luxury of the Italian lifestyle, without artifice, but making themselves the bearers of a model that is now established and admired.
