Prosecco DOC Official Sparkling Wine of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympics takes center stage in Treviso, the heart of the denomination

Treviso, March 4, 2026 – “The Paralympic Games express values that we have always believed in: the ability to pursue excellence with determination, to not give up in the face of difficulties, to do one’s best in all circumstances,” said Giancarlo Guidolin, president of the Prosecco DOC Protection Consortium. “Being the Official Sparkling Wine of Milan Cortina 2026 means showcasing a product that comes from a territory, a community, and generations of shared work on a global stage. It is not an award we receive: it is a commitment we renew.

This partnership naturally extends from the Winter Olympic Games to the Winter Paralympic Games, confirming a commitment that goes beyond brand presence for the Consortium. The Paralympic Games represent one of the most authentic expressions of those values—inclusion, determination, and the ability to transform every difficulty into momentum—that Prosecco DOC has chosen to place at the center of its institutional communication. Supporting this event means recognizing Paralympic athletes not only as sporting champions, but also as examples of how excellence is built every day, often starting from conditions that others would consider insurmountable obstacles.

Today, the Paralympic Flame passed through the historic center of Treviso, the capital city of the nine provinces of the Prosecco DOC appellation and headquarters of the Protection Consortium. Vice President Alessandro Botter welcomed it in Piazza dei Signori for an official toast with the limited edition bottle created for the Games, together with Mayor Mario Conte, CIP Veneto President Davide Giorgi, CONI Veneto Regional Committee President Dino Ponchio, and Paolo Tonon, Paralympic archery athlete and bronze medalist at the 2024 Paris Games: a presence that gave a face and history to this passage, making the link between Paralympic sport and the territory a reality.

THE CONSORTIUM’S ACTIVITIES AT THE GAMES

Throughout the Paralympic Games (March 6-15), Prosecco DOC will be present at the official bar of Casa Italia at the Galleria Farsettiarte in Cortina d’Ampezzo (Piazza Roma 10, open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.), where a dedicated menu lists the references of the 16 companies of the Consortium, and in the hospitality areas set up at the competition venues. The Consortium’s communication activities continue: large billboards at the airports of Treviso, Venice, Orio al Serio, and Milan Malpensa welcome tourists and international delegations; the luminaries of Via Manzoni in the heart of Milan celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic values of perseverance, respect, and legacy; the venues featured in the “Cin Cin Milano Cortina” guide offer limited edition Prosecco DOC-based cocktails, extending the Games experience from competition to the discovery of Italian lifestyle.

The 16 companies that have joined the project: Brilla! Cà di Rajo, Cantine Maschio, Casa Vinicola Bosco Malera, Italian Wine Brands, La Marca, Le Rughe, Masottina, Mionetto, Pitars, Ponte 1948, Serena Wines 1881, Torresella, Villa Sandi, Val d’Oca, Valdo.
