Read time: 7 min.

The growth of Prosecco DOC in the Canadian market continues undaunted, thanks also to the intense promotional activity that has already been full of initiatives since the beginning of 2025.
The Consortium of Prosecco DOC, in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, organised two not-to-be-missed events in the cities of Montréal and Toronto, with the aim of strengthening the positioning of the denomination and attracting an increasingly vast and heterogeneous public.

Soirée Bulles – Retour aux Années Folles

The first event, organised in collaboration with the SAQ monopoly, was held on 1st March 2025 at Le 9e in Montréal. Soirée Bulles – Retour aux Années Folles was designed to engage a select audience of wine enthusiasts, mainly Millennials and Gen Z, by offering them an immersive experience to discover Prosecco DOC.
The atmosphere of the evening evoked the charm of the Roaring Twenties: feather boas, pearls and fedoras characterised the costumes of the more than 400 participants, who were able to taste various labels of the denomination through a walk around tasting. To enrich the event, a live jazz band and charleston dance performances, as well as the presence of cigar girls who distributed finger food to the guests.

The world of mixology also stood out during the evening, with a room entirely dedicated to Prosecco DOC-based cocktails made by Canadian Brand Ambassador Fanny Gauthier.
Guests were able to immortalise the experience thanks to a vintage photobooth, giving them a souvenir in perfect 1920s style.
The companies participating in the event are: Anna Spinato Winery, Antonio Facchin & Figli, Bottega, Botter, Cantine Maschio, Casa Paladin, Giol, Le Colture, Mionetto, Ruffino, Salatin, Villa Sandi, Viticoltori Ponte, V8+ and Zonin.

After the success in Montreal, the promotional tour continued on 3rd March 2025 with the Minisalone Prosecco DOC Toronto at the W Hotel. The event provided an important platform for Italian producers and local industry operators to meet.
The agenda included several key moments for networking and education, such as masterclasses led by Master Sommelier Pier-Alexi Souliere and Walk Around Tasting to learn more about the distinctive aspects of Prosecco DOC, strategic meetings between Italian companies and Canadian buyers to create new business opportunities and an exclusive lunch dedicated to journalists, bloggers and influencers, designed to highlight the versatility of Prosecco DOC.
