Italian Festival
This is New Zealand’s largest street festival dedicated to the celebration of Italian culture with food and wine stands, Italian products and entertainment. The entire Newmarket district of Auckland will be involved in the celebrations on 23 February 2025, bringing vibrancy among the local community and lovers of Made in Italy excellence.
Prosecco DOC, Official Sparkling Wine of the event, will welcome enthusiasts to an exclusive Prosecco Bar, where it will be possible to taste the bubbles of 10 producers, presented on a special Prosecco Chart. This space will be the meeting point for all those who wish to discover the quality and versatility of Prosecco DOC.
The big party will be anticipated by the Opening Night on 3 February 2025, an exclusive evening that will officially inaugurate the Festival. The event will host around 120 guests including sponsors, representatives of the Italian Embassy in New Zealand and many others.
Sparkling Stories of Prosecco DOC
Rounding out the programme is the ‘Sparkling Stories of Prosecco DOC’ Masterclass: a guided tasting dedicated to New Zealand wine professionals at the Manzo Restaurant in Auckland. Participants will be guided by Master Sommelier Andrea Martinisi through all aspects of Prosecco culture, from the territory of origin to styles and production methods.
