Future and tradition. In the name of community and conviviality. This is the essence of “Three of Cups: tradition toasts the future,” a project conceived by director Carlo Guttadauro for PROSECCO DOC with the aim of promoting Treviso’s popular culture through an immersive experience that combines card games, tavern conviviality, and the magic of Prosecco DOC bubbles.
Giulio, the innkeeper and heir to an ancient farming tradition, guides guests on a journey that begins in the ethereal vineyards of Glera, where his grandfather explained the value of the Three of Cups: a symbol of the three fundamental steps for a perfect Prosecco—the environment, the vine, and the hand of man. In the short film, this same deck accompanies an engaging wine tour, the “Trevisane Experience,” which recounts the game of cards in the cellar as a pretext for connecting with roots and the past.
Conceived by PROSECCO DOC and ANAM CARA COMUNICAZIONE to convey the authenticity of a territory and its roots, “Tre di Coppe” transforms the historic Treviso playing cards into tickets to an intergenerational story. From the simple gesture of exchanging a hand of cards to a shared toast, the tavern—the beating heart of community life—becomes a stage for memories and new emotions.
All this takes place in the setting of the tavern, a place that is not only a meeting point for people but, as the Spanish poet Fernandez de Ribera wrote, a true mirror of existence. A place with a unique charm, the tavern is a place where the bond between territory and popular culture lives and is strengthened. In addition to its playful dimension, “Tre di Coppe” aims to spread awareness of this bond, inviting anyone passing through Treviso to sit down at a tavern table. Here, between a taste of Prosecco and a game of cards, the identity of a place that makes conviviality its most authentic strength is strengthened.
All that remains is to wait until September to appreciate all the nuances of this cinematic work, which will be broadcast on the social media channels of the Prosecco DOC Consortium.
