Prosecco DOC Shockwave\u00b3 has kicked off its autumn racing season in the best possible way, winning the 43rd Trofeo Due Castelli<\/strong> in real time, organized by the Societ\u00e0 Nautica Laguna del Villaggio del Pescatore. The Maxi 90 of Yacht Club Monfalcone, with Claudio Demartis<\/strong> as owner and Pompeo Tria<\/strong> as co-owner, has thus added its name to the regatta\u2019s roll of honour.<\/p>\n

The victory confirms the excellent performances already shown throughout the season and follows the real-time wins achieved in 2026 at the Aegean 600<\/strong> and the Brindisi-Corf\u00f9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the course in the Gulf of Trieste, between the Castles of Duino and Miramare, Prosecco DOC Shockwave\u00b3 raced aggressively from the very start, managing to maintain its lead over its direct competitor Arca Sgr Marta 07<\/strong> all the way to the finish.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a valuable opportunity to test the new mainsail, which has a surface area more than 25 sqm larger than the previous one and proved to be very well suited to our boat in light-wind conditions, both upwind and downwind,\u201d<\/em> commented owner Claudio Demartis. \u201cCredit must go to the crew, who took to the water with the right focus and determination to give their best and continue along the path of growth that will have to take us to the key races of this autumn. In the meantime, we are celebrating this hat-trick.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The race day was characterized by light but steady winds, with an average intensity of around six knots and peaks of seven. \u201cThe start was the key to the entire race,\u201d<\/em> explained tactician Andrea Micalli<\/strong>, highlighting how the crew set up a real match race with Marta 07, managing to start ahead of their direct competitor. In the first two legs of the course, Prosecco DOC Shockwave\u00b3 adopted a conservative tactic, while during the lighter-wind phases it used the furling sail, a particularly high-performing sail in these conditions. On the final leg, from Miramare to the finish at Duino Castle, the crew hoisted the gennaker, further increasing the gap over their opponent.<\/p>\n

Prosecco DOC Shockwave\u00b3\u2019s autumn racing season now continues with a busy schedule of events:<\/p>\n
