The Prosecco DOC Consortium<\/strong> announces the return of \u201cProsecco Month 2026<\/strong>,\u201d which marks its tenth anniversary<\/strong> this year. From August 1 to 31<\/strong>, approximately 230 restaurants, wine bars, and wine shops<\/strong> across Japan will feature 25 brands and 47 labels of Prosecco DOC<\/strong>, confirming the appellation\u2019s growing success in the Japanese market.<\/p>\n

Launched in 2017 to raise awareness of Prosecco DOC in Japan, \u201cProsecco Month\u201d has become, over the years, a much-anticipated event for industry professionals and enthusiasts alike. Over the past ten years, the initiative has contributed significantly to spreading the culture of Prosecco DOC, fostering an increasingly established presence in the country\u2019s restaurants, wine bars, and wine shops. The tenth anniversary therefore represents not only an important milestone but also the beginning of a new phase of development and growth.<\/p>\n

The 2026 edition comes at the conclusion of an intensive program of promotional activities organized by the Consortium throughout Japan. In May, a Pop-up Store<\/strong> dedicated to Prosecco DOC enlivened the prestigious Italian Fair at Hankyu Umeda<\/strong>, one of the most significant events dedicated to Italian food and wine excellence in Japan. Subsequently, the Prosecco DOC Garden Tokyo Skytree <\/strong>at Tokyo Skytree Town\u00ae<\/strong> transformed one of the capital\u2019s most iconic landmarks into an immersive summer experience centered on DOC sparkling wine, attracting thousands of visitors.<\/p>\n

\u201cProsecco Month 2026\u201d represents the natural culmination of this journey and will offer new opportunities for Japanese consumers to discover Prosecco DOC, highlighting its quality, versatility, and ability to elegantly complement international cuisines.<\/p>\n

The traditional Contest <\/strong>for participating retail outlets is also returning. The top retailers will be rewarded with an educational trip to the Prosecco DOC production region in Italy\u2014an exclusive experience that will allow them to visit wineries, meet producers, and deepen their understanding of the terroir and production techniques firsthand.<\/p>\n

The initiative is carried out in collaboration with ITA \u2013 Italian Trade Agency, Tokyo Office<\/strong>, a strategic partner in promoting Prosecco DOC on the Japanese market. Coinciding with the tenth anniversary, the collaboration between the Consortium and ITA is further strengthened with an eye already set on the future: starting next year, the project is set to expand to include large-scale retail chains, involving major supermarket chains<\/strong> alongside the traditional Ho.Re.Ca. channel.<\/p>\n

With its fresh style, refined effervescence, and extraordinary versatility in food pairings, Prosecco DOC continues to win over the Japanese public<\/strong>, consolidating its presence year after year in one of Asia\u2019s most dynamic and strategic markets.<\/p>\n

To mark its tenth anniversary, \u201cProsecco Month 2026\u201d once again invites Japan to toast the summer with Prosecco DOC.<\/p>\n
