After 3 years of successful promotional and educational activities in Japan, the Consorzio di Tutela of Prosecco PDO keeps on engaging in the Country of the Rising Sun with an intensive program this July including a Roadshow and an Educational Day in Tokyo.
All the activities in collaboration with ICE Agency Tokyo will be supported by a communication campaign cured by Cuisine Kingdom and its regular network of internationally famous Chefs, among which also Massimo Bottura, and the Associazione Cuochi Cucina Italiana in Giappone (ACCI).
Cuisine Kingdom troupe will follow and document every stop of the Roadshow, including all the Proseccos included in the tastings that will also be included in the paper publication.
In detail, the Roadshow will stop in 4 cities, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo and Kanazawa, where Prosecco DOC and the 24 wineries participating will be the core of a series of appointments. Not only tastings, but also a whole Educational Day that will be opened by a press conference with representatives from the Italian Embassy in Tokyo and from ITA in The Stings Omotesando, in the luxurious neighbourhood Omotesando, in the heart of Tokyo.
Various important people will be next to Prosecco PDO in this third trip in Japan: from Mrs. Mari Yamazaki, comic books writer and new Prosecco PDO Ambassador in Japan, to Mr. Yasuhiro Obata, senior sommelier of Japan Sommelier Association; from Mr. Aristide Martellini, Trade Promotion section of Embassy of Italy Tokyo, to sommeliers Mr. Akira Mizuguchi and Mr. Akira Kaida
During the Roadshow the 24 wineries will have the chance not only to get to be known deeply by consumers, increasing the Prosecco wine lovers, but also to meet importers and distributors.

Furthermore, on 1st August starts the campaign “Prosecco Month”, that will include more than 150 restaurants, wine shops and wine bar in the whole Japan to promote the sale of Prosecco DOC by the glass and in the bottle. At the end of the month, the restaurants with the most successful promotional activity will be identified. The award ceremony for the restaurants with the best results in terms of sales and the best promotional event will take place at the end of October, at the same time as the Tokyo stop of the Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri World Tour. The award will be a tour in the “Prosecco DOC Dreamland”.
